Virtual INSET

This September we will be hosting another highly popular Virtual Inset with Tara Elie. The session will be held on Zoom; most schools broadcast the session into their school halls although the number of school logins is unlimited so people from home can join, too. 

9:30am - 10:30am: Session 1: Preventative Strategies

In this first session of the new academic year, we will be revisiting the bedrocks of relational practice leaving delegates equipped with practical skills, inspiration and evidenced insights. We will understand how routines and consistency support self regulation and explore how positive noticing and recognition can be used as part of preventive teaching and learning.

10:45am - 11:45am: Session 2: Responding & Restoring:

When behaviour is wobbling, it is important that adult behaviour remains calm and predictable. In this second session we will share practical strategies that will help respond when things are difficult. We will also think about how we can use challenging circumstances as an opportunity to build currency, improve decision making and develop more positive outcomes in the future.
